How to Prepare for Writing Section?

Well there always has to be a writing section in an English exam.It shows how well you understand the topic and write an accurate response to it.It has two tasks

• A topic is given and you are expected to write a response on your opinion about the topic.Much like the issue topic in GRE.
• A Reading material is given. After which lecture is given which is meant to be listened to .the reading material is available for later reference and obviously thelistening part isn’t(so listen extra carefully).You are required to discuss key points in the lecture and support it with information from the reading material.

How to prepare for Writing in TOEFL?

• Make yourself a template.Always give a specific reason followed by a detail or example.
• Use formal-ish language.
• Use words like moreover,additionally,furthermore etc to show continuity/
• Try to supplement your reasons with solid examples.Organize your essay. Explain one or two points in a paragraph. Don’t cram in too many idea at the same place.
• Try to make sense.
• There will be more than enough time.Just compile your response well.
