How to Prepare for Listening Section?

Listening measures a test taker’s ability to understand the conversation, the speaker’s attitude, and the general point behind the conversation. So you can prepare by
- Watching lots of English channels like Star world.this will help cover the conversational prt of the exam. To be done quite some time before the exam, say start like 3 months or 4 before the test date.Recommended shows are F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Travel Asia, Seinfeld. You get the point now ,don’t you?
- Play the practice test cd and listen to the entire lecture. Listening to lectures back to back needs a lot of focus. Chances of falling asleep are very high, so get used to staying awake and listening.This is payback time for the teaching community , you have no option but to listen.
- Use common sense, just because they speak differently doesn’t necessarily mean they react to the same situation differently.So if your mind did slip and wander and take a nice walk in la-la land blah blah don’t fuss over the question, just mark the most probable answer.
